Bismarck, ND – Gaia Home is pleased to announce it has purchased nearly nine acres in Northeast Bismarck for its planned neighborhood of residential units and community spaces specially designed for the end-of-life journey.
Aiming to be one of the first of its kind in North Dakota, Gaia Home will open its doors in the Silver Ranch subdivision to people in need of compassionate end-of-life care so they can receive hospice services and 24-hour personalized care in a home away from home. It will provide families and their loved ones with adequate space to live in, gather, connect, reminisce, and rest in privacy and peace, giving them the chance to truly treasure their precious time together during the final season of life.
“This exciting announcement brings us one step closer to providing the missing piece in North Dakota for end-of-life care. Our vision is providing family members the opportunity to live with their loved one and spend quality time making lasting memories as caregivers relieve families of the many difficult caretaking tasks,” said Gaia Home Executive Director Kilee Harmon.
The need for Gaia Home is projected to increase in coming years because of the aging population and overall population growth expectations in central and western North Dakota.
