With May being National Pet Month, it’s a great reminder that pets are considered dear family members to many people. For animal lovers, losing that connection at the end of life is an option they can’t imagine. Some facilities allow pets to visit patients because the furry friends provide an immeasurable amount of comfort to their owners. As shown in the video below, Victor the horse brought joy and smiles to the faces of a patient, their family and caregivers at North Devon Hospice in the UK.
